Getting started on the B Corp certification process can be a daunting prospect: taking the plunge to start the B Impact Assessment, finding the time to gather supporting information, taking a step back to strategically align approaches and develop new ones. That’s where Betsy comes in. She brings an independent, strategic perspective and more than a decade of project and programme management experience to support businesses working to become certified B Corps or to retain their certification.
Betsy has worked in-house for names like Nestle UK, Zero Waste Scotland (WRAP) and Forum for the Future and has delivered work as a consultant for Unilever brands, hospitality and events sector clients, professional services companies, tech companies, ethical labelling organisations, local and national government, and various SMEs and startups in Scotland, Manchester, London and increasingly across Europe.
Her style is collaborative, energetic, creative yet pragmatic and exceptionally organised. She takes time to truly understand each of her clients and is able to adapt her style to ensure maximum effectiveness in working together. Clients regularly comment that she feels like part of their team. Originally from Wyoming in the US, she divides her time between London, Edinburgh and Barcelona. In her spare time she serves on the UK PR Council, a forum for senior communications leaders and is regularly asked to speak on engagement approaches and impact measurement.
