Project Description

Murray Gray

Studying Politics and Economics extensively in his teens, Murray graduated in Politics from the University of Nottingham, during which time he balanced his studies with his work at a boutique consultancy firm as a Strategy & Commercial consultant and an internship at UBS Investment Bank.

After being enrolled in the UBS Investment Bank Graduate Training Program within Operations, Murray spent the remainder of his twenties operating in the entertainment industry, at startups working directly with talent and content; firstly as Business Development and Operations Director at full service entertainment startup Reprise Music Group, and secondly at his own talent development and management company. During this time, Murray successfully launched and developed the careers of major label signed artists with global recognition, working with globally renowned brands, whilst also growing the businesses from their early stages from a creative, commercial and operational perspective.

More recently, working as a consultant, Murray has advised sustainability consultancies and social entrepreneurship programmes, as well as technology startups, bespoke consultancies, entertainment companies. He has delivering full business plans, commercial strategy, scoping of new business initiatives and feasibility reports, operational architecture and process redesign, and trends and insights reports.

Murray is now focusing his attention on working with in Business Strategy, Development & Operations for early to mid-stage ‘triple bottom line’ driven companies focusing on positive economic (profit), social (people) and environment (planetary) impact – particularly helping build sustainable growth strategies in line with B Lab’s standards.

Murray has a particular interest in companies working at the forefront of innovations directly addressing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in the sustainable futures of food, water, energy, transportation, cities, climate, education, work, international economic development and social entrepreneurship.
